Wrapping up my 2019 skincare favorites with the best for last !
Let’s start with the two that I’ve already repurchased, the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask and the Youth To The People Dream Mask ! The main thing that I love about these two… is that you don’t have to wash them off after, like a typical mud mask. You just slather them on when you need the hydration and that’s literally it. I usually use them at night, alternating throughout the week. And sometimes I’ll pop on a little bit of the Jet Lag Mask during the day, under my makeup, for that extra moisture. I’m so stoked that Jet Lag now comes in this cute mini size ! It fits better in my travel skincare bag 😂. On to the Youth To The People Dream Mask … it’s a hydrating, vitamin c cloud ☁️ for my dry skin. It’s got some really nice nourishing ingredients like maqui, squalane, & prickly pear. I’ve actually really enjoyed this sleeping mask since it first dropped in Sephora ! It’s been a fave ever since.
The Korres Pomegranate AHA & Enzyme Mask has to be my all time favorite resurfacing mask. It’s packed with 27.5% AHAs/BHAs.. and I’d say pretty comparable to the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial, but with even better results in my opinion. It combines exfoliation in three different ways… physical, enzymatic & chemical. I only need to leave it on for about 10 minutes or less … and then I’m left with smooth, soft, happy skin. Dry patches ? Don’t know her. I actually see better, instant results after washing this off compared to the DE Babyfacial. And as a bonus, it’s less than half of the price of DE ! I *may* be featuring this mask in my upcoming IG giveaway… So uh yeah .. stay tuned…. 😉
Next up are my two favorite mud-based masks ! The Pixi Glow Mud Mask & the Volition Detoxifying Silt Gelee Mask.
The Pixi Glow Mud Mask is a newbie to me, but I love the texture and the glowing results I see after using it. If you’re prone to breakouts, congestion, clogged pores and have combo to oily skin.. you’ll love this mask. And for those of you that love the GlamGlow Supermud… but are looking for a cruelty-free alternative.. I’d also recommend giving this a go. 👌🏻
The Volition Silt Gelee Mask is the best of both worlds…. a gel mask, but also a mud mask ! Having the two combined together into one, creates such a unique texture ! It never dries down or makes my skin feel tight during application.. which is one of the main reasons I enjoy using it. But I also love it because of the results ! Super soft, moisturized, fresh looking skin. One of the first ingredients listed is black silt & black silt helps detoxify the skin ! I *do* wish this one came in a smaller size for travel or just for the sake of no product waste. I had about two applications worth left, but it looked weird and didn’t smell right so I had to toss it… 😞
And that’s it ! If you’ve been reading all of my favorites post over the past weekish .. then I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to do so ! Writing out all of these posts has helped me get back into writing more. One of my main goals for 2020 is to write more consistently !
