The July Petit Vour Subscription Box

The July Box is all about that glowy, summery skin and it features products that will help you live your best sweaty, hopefully not sunburned, summer life.

First we have the Terre Mere Smudge Proof Anti-Aging Eye Shadow Base. This can deff come in handy this summer. This is the full sized product, retailing at $36 ! It’s a tan colored (almost a concealer consistency) eye shadow base. It’s infused with hyaluronic acid to hydrate those eye lids too. It goes on easy with the applicator, and then I just tap & blend it out with my finger. It’s claiming to be waterproof, and I didn’t test that out to be honest. But my soft glittery eyeshadow stayed put for my entire 8 hour work shift ! Can’t complain about that. I’ll have to try this out with some crazy bold eye shadows next !

Next up we have the After Hours Soothing Night Cream by Kalos. Never heard of this brand before, so I was very intrigued. This cream is labeled “night” but looking at the ingredients I can say it’s probably suitable for day or night ! This cream is very light, almost a whipped gel – if that even makes sense ! The After Hours cream claims to help sooth irritated, stressed skin. I does have a subtle cooling effect when first applied so I can see this being great for sunburned skin. It’s a little tacky after application, but eventually absorbs into the skin and dries down smoothly. Not my personal first choice for a moisturizer but I am enjoying it !

French Girl Organics is up next with their Lait De Rose Vitamin C Polishing Wash. On my little card that comes in the box it says it’s a Petit Vour exclusive launch ! How exciting ! Some stand out ingredients include coconut milk powder to soften the skin, watermelon powder to help brighten, white willow bark extract to act as a enzymatic exfoliator. It also smells amazing. OK so let’s talk about usage. The entire formula is powder. To activate – you simply mix it with a bit a of water and it becomes a very thin paste. You then apply the paste to the face (paste face  ?, really ? )  and gently massage away. It can be a little difficult to rinse off because of all the gritty bits in the product, so you can just use this before you hop in the shower, or just use a warm washcloth to get the remainder off. My skin does feel insanely soft after. I haven’t noticed any brightening effects just yet tho.

Next is Ursa Major’s Bright & Easy 3-Minute Flash Mask. This tropical scented mask contains AHAs, BHAs & enzymes to clarify and brighten the skin. It’s a jiggly, jelly texture, and kinda fun to apply. You only need the tiniest bit for your entire face & neck. So even though this is very small sample, you’d get more than several uses out of it. It’s hard to share my thoughts just yet since I’ve only used it once. But I will say that my skin felt very smooth after and I have no complaints ! I only left it on for the recommended 3 minutes, but you can leave it on up to 15 minutes I believe. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys a two-in-one mask & exfoliater. This could be great for all of you sensitive skin peeps out there too.

Petit Vour also sent me a bonus item in this box, which you would get as well if you’re a first time subscriber. It’s the Antonym Cosmetics signature eye pencil in the color black. All of the ingredients in this eyeliner come from natural origin and it also includes jojoba oil to moisturize. The pigmentation is beautiful, and the formula is super creamy – but not too creamy. I wore this eyeliner on my upper lashline and it lasted all day  with no issues – no smudging too ! Oh and this is full size product, retailing for $19 !

Petit Vour actually reached out to me *scream* and wanted to send me the July box ! How can I say no ? Thank you everyone at Petit Vour. I really appreciate it.
