Texture Tuesday ft. Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter

Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter

It’s #texturetuesday and I’m featuring this gem, the new @drunkelephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser & Bamboo Booster ?? TBH, I’m actually not a fan of cleansing balms in general because they typically irritate my eyes or they leave a film behind on the skin. But not this one !!

Fun Fact: did you know most cleansing balms contain plastics ? Also not this one !!!

Mini review(kinda?): this is the first cleansing balm that I’ve tried that I actually like. ? I love that it’s a balm-like texture at first, and then it turns into a rich oil once you’re rubbing into the skin. After a few moments of massaging, I then add a bit of warm water and it then transforms into a creamy, milky emulsion. DE recommends just rinsing it away after, but I usually like to go in with a warm washcloth to remove everything. I would say it removes about 95% of my makeup. *Sometimes* I have a bit of eyeliner or mascara left under my eyes, but I usually double cleanse anyway so that doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin which is a huge plus and one of the main reasons I love this product. The Bamboo Booster is a charcoal powder that gently exfoliates dead skin. DE recommends using it in the AM and I’ve done just that ! Just a couple shakes is all you need. I’ve only used it a few times now, in the morning like they recommend and it truly is super gentle on the skin. I actually used it this morning, right before writing this post and my skin feels sooooo smooth & soft. If you’re looking for a new cleansing balm I’d say give this one a shot.
