Hey friends ! No video for this months unboxing. I actually tried recording it twice and both times it didn’t come out right. After that point, I figured I’d just share a blog post on November’s box instead.
Now I know this post is very delayed, November was several weeks ago. BUT, what I decided I’m going to do from here on out for future boxes is use the products for roughly about a week or so, then jump on here and share my thoughts on them. You’ll still see pictures on my Instagram, (be sure to follow me there if you’re not already) the second I open up the box, but the review on the products and the box that month will follow in either a blog post or video. This is only my second box, but I’ve noticed there are a lot of skincare or body care items. I think those kinds of items need a little bit of time to try out and a first impression doesn’t really give them justice !
So, without further ado, let’s chat about Novembers items (which by the way, included 2 full size products this month, whoop whoop !).
The Box Included:
- Juice Beauty Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser ($15 , Full Size $26) – I’m a huge fan of gel cleansers so I was very stoked to see this in my box! I’m so glad it wasn’t a cream cleanser because those just don’t really work for my skin type. No matter what cream cleanser I use, my skin always feels sucked dry, tight and even irritated. Gel all the way ! Anyway, my current favorite cleanser by Alba Botanica is a gel cleanser, and now I can add this one to the list of favorites too. I really love the smell of this, it smells like Fruit Loops ! A little goes a long way too. It lathers nicely on the skin and my face feels just so refreshed, smooth, moisturized and revitalized afterword. I’d probably snag the full size of this product when I’m finished with this. Glad I was finally able to try some of Juice Beauty’s skincare !
- Metta Skincare Coconut Lip Balm (Full Size $12) – This a great all over balm, not just for lips. You can apply it to elbows, cuticles or any dry patches of skin. It has a subtle coconut scent which is ideal for someone like me who doesn’t like a strong coconut scents in her beauty products. I prefer my balms to be a little softer, like the Tatcha Gold Spun Lip Balm, this one by Metta is pretty solid. I find it kind of annoying that I have to really rub my finger in the balm several times over and over again before I can pick up any product. Because it is so solid, I can see this working a lot better as a stick form rather than a jar.
- Lily Lolo Makeup Setting Mist (Full Size $18) – I’ve been wanting to try products from Lily Lolo for awhile now so I was super excited to see this in my box. One thing I really like about this mist is there is no alcohol scent like other finishing sprays. When sprayed, it comes out very lightweight and not harsh. I haven’t notice any dramatic changes in my makeup when I use this mist, but I do feel like I get that last bit of hydration. My face doesn’t feel stiff after spraying and my skin does have a light dewy glow to it.
- My Daughter Fragrances “My Wild” ($2.50 , Full Size $85) – The undertones in this fragrance are a mix of violets, pink pepper, juniper berry, wild strawberry, vanilla, atlas cedar, sandalwood vetiver and guaiac wood. Personally, this isn’t a fragrance for me. The floral notes mixed with the berry notes are just to potent to my senses. Fragrances are very personal, so its hard to find something that everyone likes. I’m probably going to be giving this away to a family member or friend.
November’s box was fun ! I liked having full size products this past month (especially when you actually like the products). I didn’t actually think that I would ever get full sized products in Petit Vour’s boxes…. so it was a great surprise ! December’s box should be arriving next week, I think I’ve been receiving the boxes around the 21st – 25th of each month, so stay tuned for that !
-Alicia !
